Lab Technician
Mary has been a technician in the Faculty of Biological Sciences for ages (since 2004). She started off washing up glassware and finally ended up in Research following a stint in the Biology Teaching Labs. Having previously worked for Professors Brendan Davies and Christine Foyer, she now splits her time between the Bennett Lab and doing blood platelet work for the Naseem lab in the Faculty of Medicine and Health.
She spends her time in the lab making media, sowing seeds, making competent cells, extracting DNA, doing PCRs etc. Outside the lab she enjoys drumming, synthesizers and a nice sit down.
